Nikki Shelton

"I've been keeping a home running for over 28 years. Five daughters and a son later, I know exactly what a working mom needs — and what a clean home actually feels like when it's done right."

Nikki is the founder, the owner, and the one at your door. She's been running her own household for nearly 30 years and raised six kids in the process — building a standard that came from love, experience and necessity, not some training video.

Before It Is Cleaned, she worked as a Nursing Assistant, caring for families in their most personal moments — learning what it means to be trusted in someone else's vulnerability, to show up consistently with a smile, and to do the work without being overwhelmed. That's the bar she holds her business to now.

She's OSHA 10 certified. She doesn't subcontract. She doesn't rush. She's easy-going but meticulous enough about her work to be dangerous — a self-taught expert in Momology, with three decades of field research and zero patience for a half-done baseboard.

Tell us how many bedrooms and bathrooms. Add a Deep Reset, the inside of the oven, pet-hair treatment, or windows if you need them. The price updates live as you go — no quote calls, no callbacks.

STEP 02

Pick a date and pay.

Choose an open day on the calendar. Enter your address and entry instructions. Pay securely through PayPal — cards, Venmo, PayPal balance, or PayPal Pay Later. Itemized receipt arrives instantly.

STEP 03

Nikki arrives ready.

All supplies, equipment, and signature scents are brought along. You don't have to be home. You'll get a text the night before to confirm, and another when Nikki's on the way.

Mom Clean is the standard Nikki built raising six of her own: the work isn't done because the clock ran out — it's done when it's actually done. It means dishes get handled, not stepped around. Baseboards get noticed. The kitchen sink gets a final polish before we leave. It's the kind of clean only someone who's run a real household can deliver.

Yes. Clean dishes get unloaded from the dishwasher onto a dry towel on the counter. Dirty dishes get loaded into the dishwasher. Anything that won't fit gets hand-washed. We don't put dishes away — you put them where you want them. But you won't come home to a dirty sink.

No — and most of our clients prefer to be out. When you book, you'll tell us how to get in (door code, hidden key, lockbox, garage code). We text you when we arrive and when we leave. You come home to a finished home.

Distilled water and 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oil — that's the entire ingredient list. Nikki hand-mixes each bottle. No synthetic fragrances, no alcohol, no carriers, no preservatives. If you're sensitive to any of the three (Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint), just select "None" at checkout.

Yes. Recurring service is per-visit billing — there's nothing to "pause." You can skip, reschedule, or cancel anytime with no fees. Just give us 24 hours notice when possible.

Yes — vacuum, mop, microfiber cloths, all standard products, and our signature scents. If you have specific products you'd prefer we use (allergies, finishes that need certain cleaners), just let us know in the booking notes.

Minimum 2 days out. Weekly and bi-weekly slots fill up first. The booking calendar only shows days that are actually open, so what you see is what you can get.

Pets are welcome — Nikki loves them. There's a Heavy Pet Hair add-on for homes with multiple shedders. Just let us know in the booking notes if any of them are aggressive or need to be contained.

Yes. What you see is what you're charged. The only way the price changes is if you ask us to add something on-site (an extra bathroom, inside the oven, etc.), and even then we tell you the cost before we do it.
